Born into the contracting business, Leo’s 25+ years experience in home remodeling and years as the principal corporate officer have given him an extensive knowledge of multiple trades. He has significant experience remodeling older homes in the Richmond area and has earned the Class “A” contractor certification. Leo supports ethical business practices by adhering to the National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s Code of Ethics. He has served on the board of the Home Builders Association of Richmond and has actively worked to start a Remodelers’ Council within the organization to support ethical business practices and continuing professional education within the industry. He has earned the Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) and Certified Aging in Place (CAPS) designations from the National Association of Home Builders. He has also recently earned the Certified Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeler (CKBR), Universal Certified Design Professional (UCDP), and Certified Remodeler (CR) designations from the National Association of the the Remodeling Industry. He has served on the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bathroom Association) Advisory Council for Builders/Remodelers and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for NAHB Remodelers.
Leo donates a considerable amount of energy and professional expertise by serving on boards and councils for various trade, church and school organizations. He has coached recreational basketball in Henrico and Chesterfield Counties. Leo is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and an Honors graduate of The University of Richmond. He served as the 2015 President of the Home Building Association of Richmond for which the association received national recognition from the NAHB for its community outreach Welcome Home Program with the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation. Leo has been honored as a member of Remodeling Magazine’s Big50 Class of 2016 and a Fred Case Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist. He has also been honored with the Guy B. Hazelgrove, Jr. Membership Development Award from the Home Building Association of Richmond.
