hook biz is in the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park, Gdynia, Polonia, for the Wolves Summit, one of the biggest tech gatherings in Europe. Our team is having a tough but amazing time!

In the first day, we arrived early in the morning! The venue was already crowded, lots of noise, people going from side to other. The environment is casual but we could feel jitters in the air before the grand moment – Great Pitch Competition. All startups finalists were getting ready!!

A day before, our COO, Carlos Snel, was really nervous. His luggage was lost. At the airport they confirmed that he would have the luggage early in the morning. The Great Pitch required formal clothing…and… everything went well afterwards. Carlos got his luggage and got ready for the amazing presentation of hook biz that grabbed the attention of investors and public attending the event. Eh, what would be this fantastic day without a little stress, right?!

After the Great Pitch Competition, our team attended the conference on Marketing Psychology by Eric Edmeades, international business mentor and coach. It was crowded… people standing. His teachings were great. Lots of advises for startups to make themselves noticed in this busy and packed business world.

We had a busy morning but rewarding morning. Afternoon was equally busy: one workshop and two meetings with investors. Different investors, different perspectives and motivations, different investments purposes, business plans and strategies. Each investor is unique!

We realized that is important to know who are in the other side, what they are looking for, what moves them to invest in a startup. This way is easier to prepare the pitch in the right direction and grab immediately the attention of the investor.

The environment is fantastic, with lots of positive energy among all entrepreneurs. We meet people from all over the world – North America, Asia, Australia, South America, but mainly from Europe. All with big smiles in their faces. Different cultures and histories blends in the corridors where we pass by with the ambition of having the NEXT BIG IDEA. More than competing, the startups are here to learn, networking, get some media exposure and…of course… have some fun!! We relax and sleep afterwards. Now is time to grab the moment!!
